Delmi was many things in this life — a fierce warrior, a kind soul, a mother in every sense of the word, and the strongest person we’ve ever known. Born on November 11, 1984, Delmi brought laughter and light wherever she went. Even as a child, she had a mischievous sparkle in her eyes and a love for playing jokes — always grinning, always pushing the limits. Her sense of humor was sharp and memorable, like the time she cleverly convinced a math teacher to help her take a test because she "couldn’t write with her injured left hand." It was pure Delmi — clever, playful, and just a little rebellious. But more than anything, Delmi had a heart that overflowed with love. She gave selflessly, even when she had little to give. If someone needed help, she would find a way — no questions asked. Her greatest joy came in being a mother. Shayra was her first birth child, and from the moment she became a mother, Delmi’s life was rooted in love, sacrifice, and devotion. She later took on Diego and Xadrian as her own, determined to give them a life full of stability and care. Her deep love for children earned her the nickname La Mama Pata — always surrounded by little ones, nurturing them, guiding them, protecting them like a mother duck with her ducklings. Delmi’s decision to have another child was made with that same boundless love, even as it came with immense personal cost. The pregnancy took a toll on her health, and over time, her body bore the weight of a cruel illness that slowly tried to take pieces of her. But Delmi never let it break her spirit. Year after year, setback after setback, she faced each day with unmatched courage, resilience, and a quiet defiance that inspired everyone around her. She never lost her hope. She never stopped trying. She never gave in. Delmi was a fighter — brave, radiant, and full of love until the very end. Her legacy lives on in her children, her family, and in every life she touched with her kindness and strength. She is survived by those who loved her deeply — her children, her parents, her sister, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Delmi fue muchas cosas en esta vida: una guerrera incansable, un alma bondadosa, una madre en todo el sentido de la palabra, y la persona más fuerte que hemos conocido. Nacida el 11 de noviembre de 1984, Delmi trajo consigo risas y luz desde muy pequeña. Incluso de niña, tenía un brillo travieso en los ojos y un amor por hacer bromas — siempre sonriendo, siempre empujando los límites. Su sentido del humor era agudo e inolvidable, como aquella vez que convenció a su maestra de matemáticas de que no podía escribir con la mano lesionada porque era zurda... y la maestra terminó prácticamente haciéndole el examen, cuando ella ni era zurda. Eso era Delmi: inteligente, juguetona, y un poquito rebelde. Pero más allá de eso, Delmi tenía un corazón enorme. Daba sin esperar nada a cambio, incluso cuando no tenía mucho. Si alguien necesitaba ayuda, ella encontraba la manera — sin dudarlo. Su mayor alegría fue ser madre. Shayra fue su primera hija, y desde ese momento, su vida estuvo llena de amor, sacrificio y entrega. Más adelante, Delmi tomó a Diego y Xadrian como propios, decidida a brindarles un hogar estable y lleno de cariño. Su amor profundo por los niños le ganó el apodo de La Mamá Pata — siempre rodeada de pequeños, cuidándolos, guiándolos y protegiéndolos como una mamá pata con sus patitos. Delmi decidió tener otro hijo con ese mismo amor infinito, aunque esto trajo un alto costo para su salud. El embarazo afectó gravemente su cuerpo, y con el tiempo, una enfermedad cruel comenzó a quitarle poco a poco partes de sí misma. Pero Delmi jamás permitió que eso le quitara el espíritu. Año tras año, obstáculo tras obstáculo, enfrentó cada día con un coraje inigualable, una resiliencia admirable, y una valentía silenciosa que inspiró a todos a su alrededor. Nunca perdió la esperanza. Nunca dejó de luchar. Nunca se rindió. Delmi fue una luchadora — valiente, luminosa y llena de amor hasta el último momento.
