Delores "Dody" Bartlome''s Obituary
Beloved daughter, sister and aunt passed peacefully after a lifelong courageous struggle with varying health problems on August 9, 2019 at the age of 65 in Bountiful at Life Care Center of Bountiful. She was born June 26, 1954 in Sun Valley Idaho to Ray LaMar and Darlene Bartlome.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents and father. She is survived by her mother Darlene Rogers Bartlome, and sisters Linda, Janis and Brian Cooper, Arlene and Steve Armatage, Ellen, Marilyn Hiller and brother Stevan and Brenda.
Dody was small in stature and large in spirit. Much of her childhood was spent in casts and braces. She graduated from Gooding High school in 1973. She served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the Massachusetts Boston mission.
After her mission she work as a seamstress at Mini World sewing children clothing. She attended Provo College and graduated with high honor. She worked as a phlebotomist and lab technician at Intermountain Medical Center in Murray.
She retired after suffering a stroke in 2012. She enjoyed family history research, reading, sewing and needle point. She had a devasting stroke January 1st of this year. The family wishes to express thanks to the staff at Intermountain Medical Center of Murray, Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Utah, Life Care Center of Bountiful and Tender Care Hospice.
Funeral services will be held August 16, 2019 at the Northpoint Second Ward at 1460 North Morton Drive in Salt Lake City. The viewing will be held there at 10:00 AM followed by the funeral services at 11:00 AM. Interment will be August 17, 2019 in Elmwood Gooding Cemetery at 1:00 PM.
