Dennis Elmer Carlson's Obituary
Dennis Elmer Carlson passed away peacefully on October 22, 2020. He was born April 16, 1935 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Dorothy Lenore Fife and Elmer Wilford Carlson. His mother died tragically when he was very young and he was raised by his stepmother Lois Tuttle whom he adored. He grew up in Salt Lake City and attended West high school where he excelled in sports and performing arts. He was married to Jeneale Cassaday and they raised five children together. He was a professional bowler and bowled several perfect games throughout his career. Early on in his professional career he worked at several cassinos and was a pit boss in Lake Tahoe. He ended up moving back to Utah and finishing his career working in sales. He loved his family and enjoyed coaching and watching his kids and grandkids participate in sports and other extracurricular activities. He loved going to BYU football games and golfing with his sons and grandsons.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents and by two of his children Carlene Campbell and Curtis William Carlson (Susan Herbert). He is survived by his former spouse Jeneale Casaday Barnes, Miriam Pulham (Charlie), Kenneth Carlson (Janelle Horton), (Susan Herbert Carlson), and David Carlson (Toni Mayoros). He is also survived by a very large posterity including thirty grandchildren, fifty- eight great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
