Dennis Wilson's Obituary
Dennis Passed on July 23, 2024. He fought cancer as long as he could.
Dennis was born March 6, 1951, to David Delaun and Roxcy Lou Wilson in Lynwood LA California. As a teen he moved to Hurrican, Utah. There he graduated from High School, then attended Dixie College. Dennis married Dorothy Mae Pugh Feb. 10, 1973, in the Provo Temple. They have been married for 51 years.
He worked at Kaibab National Forrest as a fire fighter. He served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Texas. Dennis served 8 years in the Army with Honorable Discharge.
Other things he enjoyed Doing: His favorite hobby as playing SANTS CLAUS FOR FAMILIES, Cub scout leader, planning ward camp outs, taking the kids crawdad hunting, Family camping rain, snow or shine. Dennis was trained as a first responder in disasters. He is a happy soul. He always tried to make people laugh, even in his last days when he could, he would tell jokes to those caring for him at the care center.
He was preceded in death by his dad (David Delaun Wilson), his mother (Roxcy Lou Wilson), his brother (Terry Wilson), and 2 children - Jennifer Lynn, Thayne William).
Dennis is survived by his wife Dorothy Mae of 51 years, his sister (Susan Pugh) and 2 daughters Lynn Jonell Maycock (David Maycock) and Terrenna Mae Wade – (Jeff Wade), Also his service dog Coda, who was with him 10 years.
There will be a viewing Thursday, August 1, 2024, 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm and Friday, August 2, 2024, at 11:15 am to 11:45 am. followed by a Funeral Service, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints 8th ward chapel. 7525 W. 3735 S (Washington Road) Magna, Utah. He will be buried at the Memorial Holladay Cemetery at 4900 South Memory Lane, Holladay, Utah
