Deon Jorgensen Cox's Obituary
Deon has graduated to be with her eternal family and our Heavenly Father on August 29th, 2023 at the age of 83. She is survived by her 3 children, Diana, Don, and Danny, her brother, Wendell, and her sisters Muriel and Koa, her 8 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
She was born July 9, 1940 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to her wonderful parents, May and Ephrium Jorgensen. She grew up on a potato farm in Moore Idaho, in a 2 room house with her eight siblings.
Throughout her life, Deon started her family in California, where she met Don Rowden. They moved to Arizona where they continued raising their children.
She later moved to Missouri with Perry Cox, where they built and ran Sheldon trap club. She loved her beautiful home and her many flowers, and enjoyed gardening.
Deon had a special place in her heart for the Hawaiian Islands. One of her favorite places on Earth was Akaka Falls, on the Big Island, where she visited several times. She said it felt like the closest place to heaven.
