Derek Lee Berglund
ROY- Derek Lee Berglund returned to his heavenly father on Tuesday March 9, 2021 At Home. Derek was born on March 26, 1971 in Ogden UT. To Dennis Lee and Martha Berglund.
He enjoyed gardening anything that would grow, especially flowers. He loved being outdoors riding the widow maker, or floating the river, he absolutely loved camping with his many friends, most of all Matthew Nebeker and Robert(Bobby) Gray, and with his family at our annual Bear lake camping trip. Bloomington Lake was among one of his favorite places to hike.
Derek was one of those guys that would jump at the chance to help out a friend or family member in need.
Although life in the last couple of year became hard with daily challenges, he had dreams and goals. A special thank you to Susanne Scott for her unwavering companionship with Derek.
Even when life was hard he loved to play with his great nephew Jaxton, their backyard tent naps were the highlight of their day. Also He enjoyed sharing his wisdom with all of his nieces and nephews, even if they didn't ask for it. LOL!
Although there is great sorrow in our family, we find comfort knowing that he will be with his dad and older brother Quinn again. We believe his parting message to all of us would be to quote his brother Quinn “Remember the good times." To have more understanding, kindness and to forgive.
Derek is survived by his mother Martha Berglund, His son Rylee Lee Berglund, his daughter Bailey Maude Roper. His Brothers Todd (Diana) Berglund, Frank Berglund. His sisters Jean (Randy) Frost, Karen (Robert) Vega. His nephews Jessie, Ryan, Adam, Sheldon, TJ, and Dante. His nieces Shelby, Victoria and Savanna. And many Great nephews and nieces.
He is preceded in death by his father Dennis Lee Berglund and his brother Quinn Ryan Berglund.
Our family would like to express our deepest gratitude for the many kind words and prayers.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday March 18th, starting with the viewing from 11am to 12pm at Premier Funeral Services located at 5335 South 1950 West Roy, UT 84067 . Followed by a Graveside service at the Ogden Cemetery located at 1875 Monroe Blvd. Ogden UT 84401 at 12:30pm
