Derrick Lance Adams' Obituary
On Monday, November 12th, 2018, Derrick Lance Adams, age 29, returned home to our loving Heavenly Father. Derrick was born in Provo, Utah, on May 21st, 1989, to Tera Danielle Adams. Derrick endured an ongoing battle with Type 1 Diabetes. We are so grateful that he is no longer suffering, although we mourn his loss beyond measure. Derrick’s greatest accomplishment was fatherhood and is quoted to have said, “Being a dad is the coolest thing ever”! As a result of his illness, Derrick was a dedicated stay-at-home dad. In truth, he was an amazing father to his sons, Carden, Conner and Noah. Derrick lived for his family, to include his dog, Duke. Derrick had a light-hearted, fun personality and found humor in all things. Derrick is survived by his wife, Cortney; his sons, Carden, Conner and Noah; mother, Tera; Step-father, Todd; father, Ryan; sisters, Shaylie and Courtney; brothers, T.J. and Jaxon; grandparents, Darrell and Penny; and many aunts, uncles and cousins who will love and miss him dearly. Derrick will be cherished in our memories and in our hearts, until he welcomes us home, united eternally.
A viewing will be held from 11:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. and funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the LDS Church on 1136 W. 700 S., in Pleasant Grove on Friday, November 16th, 2018.
