Devora Jean Philpot June 10, 1934 – September 3, 2021
Devora Jean Philpot passed peacefully and comfortably on September 3, 2021.
Jean was married to Richard Philpot for 31 years. During their time together, they enjoyed traveling to the Oregon Coast, spending time in St. George, Utah, and Island Park, Idaho. She is survived by her husband, children Gerald Thompson (Colleen) and Mike Swasey (Brenda), 7 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren. She was 3rd of 4 children, her siblings include Dewain Higgins (deceased), Judy Norman (deceased), and Larry Higgins.
She was born in Lava Hot Springs on June 10, 1934 to her parents Gladys Tennessee Robertson and Eldon Higgins. After graduating high school she moved to Salt Lake City where she worked and raised her family. For several years she worked in the school lunch program, and later enjoyed many years in the print industry as a Bindery Technician.
Jean loved being outdoors, spending time hiking and walking on the Oregon coast beaches, visiting many of her favorite lighthouses, and watching the ocean. She also enjoyed hiking in Zion and around St. George, and going on her daily walks around home. The thing she loved most was spending time with family.
She impacted many lives and will be missed tremendously by everyone that knows and loves her.
