Devree Jo Allen's Obituary
Devree Jo Allen, a woman who brought joy and laughter to any event, passed away surrounded by loved ones on the 23rd of February. She was born on the 18th of November 1987 in Ogden, Utah.
Devree grew up in Davis and Weber counties and graduated from Ogden High School. She touched the lives of many people and made lifelong connections and friends. Her free spirited energy and her confidence towards any adventure, made her a social butterfly that people couldn't help but gravitate towards. Her love of music and dancing always brought people to the dance floor. Devree loved making other people happy in a multitude of ways and her light radiated through her acts of service towards her family, friends and community. She worked as a waitress, barista and Licensed Massage Therapist in Ogden and surrounding areas.
Her contagious laughter and infectious smile always lit up the room, but nothing made her light shine brighter than when she became a mother to her daughter, Evelyn. Becoming a mother gave her the strength to fight her battle with cancer, and she cherished every second she had with her precious little girl.
Her memory will live on through every person she impacted. You may find solace of her absence in quiet moments... a pair of boots, the call of a bird or the leaves in the breeze. Say yes to the adventure, and she will be there beside you.
She is survived by Evelyn, her daughter who was her reason for living, and Evelyn's father, Clint Stanger. Her parents Janet (Jeff) Ketcham, and Jim (Janette) Allen. Her siblings: Lauren, Landis, Brenna, Ashton and Cayden. Her step siblings and all her nieces, nephews and extended family. Last but not least, her chosen family. You know who you are.
To the caregivers at McKay Dee Hospital and The Huntsman Cancer Institute, Devree's Family wants to thank you for the hard work, dedication and compassion shown not only to Devree, but her loved ones as well.

A final dance begins,
Moves that birth the winds,
With smiles and laughter,
Her wings start a new chapter,
To join who came before,
The time has come to soar.
