Diane "Mimi" Davies Burnett's Obituary
On Saturday, December 17, 2022, our beloved Mimi returned home to her Heavenly Parents at the age of 72.
Diane was born on July 31,1950 in Fillmore, Utah. She was the second of five siblings born to Jacob and Gwen Davies. Diane loved spending time in Fillmore with her grandparents. Diane graduated from Roy High School and earned an Associates Degree from Weber State University. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and loved the Lord with all her heart.
On March 26, 1971, she married her best friend and sweetheart Jerry Burnett in the Logan Utah Temple. They were the proud parents of four daughters. In their life together they lived in Utah, Texas, and Colorado and she touched many lives in every place they resided. She had a great love of music and was a talented and gifted organist and accompanist. Diane shared her gift in her wards and stakes for 60 years.
Diane had a quick sense of humor and created a warm and loving home for her family and was a gracious hostess. Everyone was always welcomed and loved when visiting their home.
One of Diane’s favorite titles was that of Mimi. She was proud to be Mimi to 16 grandchildren. She loved to spend time with them and to learn about the things that were important to them. She made each one feel deeply loved and special.
She is survived by her husband Jerry A. Burnett, her daughters, Jennifer (Christopher) Irish, Alisa (Christopher) Phillips, Lori Burnett, Tricia (Jason) Provost. Her grandchildren, Jordan and Matt, Joshua, Hailey and Dom, Katie, Abbie, Ben and Sydney, Emma and Andrew, Jacob, Nate, Matthew, Sam, Zoey, Isabella, and one on the way.
