Donald "Doc" Spencer's Obituary
In loving memory of Donnie “Doc” Spencer,

On July 15, 1974, a legend was born. Known to his loved ones as Donnie Ray Spencer, but too many as Doc or Dr. Satan. He was a true force of nature, one of a kind and a real bad ass in every sense of the word. Doc had a heart as big as his personality. He was always there for those who needed him, no matter the time, place, or circumstance. Whether offering a listening ear, sharing a joke, or simply being present. He had a remarkable way of making people feel better and always leaving them with a smile.
Doc’s love for his family, children, and friends was in measurable. He cherish those close to him and was the glue that kept everyone together. His legacy of kindness, loyalty and generosity touch the lives of countless people. And his presence will be missed by all who knew him.
An incredibly talented artist. Doc’s creativity extended far beyond the tattoo needle. His drawings were awe-inspiring a testament to his remarkable skill. He also had a knack for building things. One of his proudest achievements being the two level treehouse in his backyard. Complete with a fire pit and a TV for creating the perfect gathering space for friends and family to come together and enjoy each other’s company and making lasting memories.
Doc was a man of many passions. He loved music, tattoos, drawing, and most of all bringing people together. Whether it was through a spontaneous gathering a deep conversation or a good laugh. Doc was always ready to make life a little brighter for those around him. He was the kind of man you could talk to for hours- whether you needed to vent, share a story or have a little “girl talk”. Doc was always there with an open heart and no hesitation.
Above all else, Doc’s greatest love was for his family and children whether you were his blood relative or not, he considered you family. His devotion to his loved ones was unwavering.
Doc leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. He is survived by the people here today who were touched by his warmth and love. He will forever be cherished, loved, and missed rest in peace, Doc. You may be gone, but you will never be forgotten.
Doc is survived by his children, Makalia Spencer (Ladon Higley), Donnie J “Bubba” Spencer, and April Spencer. His fiancé Saraye “Cookie” Reifenberger. His siblings Carl Spencer, Nancy Edwards Haskins, Jennifer Edwards and Barbara Edwards along with many other relative's, brothers and sisters. He called family.
He is preceded in death by his Daughter Felicia Spencer, His brother Matthew Palmer, His parents, Carl J “Pop’s” Spencer and his mother Linda Spencer.
Doc’s celebration of life will be held on December 7, 2024 at Doc’s old place in West Valley City. It starts at 11 AM and will go all day and all night. In lieu of flowers please bring firewood and dress warm. Pot luck and BYOB or BYOD.
