Donna Gay Clifford's Obituary
Donna Gay Clifford, 84 of Salt Lake City, Utah, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2025. Donna was born on August 1, 1940, in Tremonton, Utah. She was the daughter of Renae Lloyd Lish and Donna Mae Sandall.
Donna was known for her bright spirit and love of life. She married Merritt Andersen, and together they had four children: Connie Renae Gallegos, Robbin Lee Esquibel (Fernando Esquibel), Troi James Andersen, and Johnnie Duke Andersen “Dewey” (Stacie Turner). Donna and Merritt later divorced.
Donna cherished her children and took great pride in her family, which grew to include nine grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
A passionate and creative soul, Donna found joy in a variety of hobbies. She loved bowling, spending hours completing puzzles, playing Yahtzee, and doing word searches. She was also an artist, enjoying drawing in her spare time. Donna had a deep affection for flannel, Coca-Cola, and her beloved cats, all of which brought comfort and joy in her life.
Donna’s kind heart, sense of humor and genuine care for others will be remembered by her family, friends, and all who knew her. She will be greatly missed but always cherished in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
She is survived by her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, her precious cat Sadie and her loving family and friends. Thank you to all of the people that were involved in her care. Thank you to Symbii hospice for the great care you gave her the last couple months of her life. Per Donna’s wishes, there will not be any funeral services.
