Donna Gay Harvath's Obituary
Donna Gay (Rhoades) Harvath passed away on a beautiful sunny day, June 22, 2023, surrounded by other family members. Donna was the 5th child of nine children born to Eugene William and Emma Mae Rhoades in Orem, Utah, on August 21, 1950.
Donna married the love of her life Dale R Harvath, April 5th, 1986. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, eight siblings, and three children. She is survived by her loving husband, Dale R Harvath, her children; Carmen (Jon) Sandman, Lynn Tolbert, Sherman Tolbert, Charity Tolbert-Palmer, 18 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Donna completed nursing school and worked as an LPN for several years in the NICU. She also received an associate degree in electrical and automation technology and worked at Hill Air Force Base, from where she retired.
Donna enjoyed family reunions, working in her yard or garden, playing Nertz, completing word searches, puzzles, and playing with her grandchildren. They will all tell you her blanket forts were the best along with the popcorn and hot cocoa. She loved a good prank and was quite a jokester right up until the end.
The family wishes to thank friends and family for their thoughts, prayers and support during the past few months of her life. The family also expresses a deep and sincere appreciation for A+ Hospice (Bree, Joy, Gabe, etc.) for their kind and thoughtful care.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at the LDS Chapel located at 2228 South 1660 West, Syracuse, UT. Viewing will be held from 12:00pm – 12:30pm, followed by services at 12:30pm. Interment in the Syracuse City Cemetery located at 1250 South 1000 West, Syracuse, UT.
Arrangements are being handled by Premier Funeral Services.
