Dora Maria Gutierrez's Obituary
Dora Maria Gutierrez, 99, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Saturday, July 19, 2025. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, Dora was born on August 30, 1925, in Rosa, New Mexico, to Adelida Quintana Romero and Juan Andres Romero.
In 1946, Dora married the love of her life, Juan Rubel Gutierrez. Together, they raised six children: Barbara, Dorothy, Concilia, Susie, Ruby, and Paul.
Dora’s greatest joy was her family. She loved sewing warm, handmade blankets for her children and grandchildren, cooking family meals, camping, and taking the occasional trip to Wendover for a bit of fun.
She is survived by her children: Dorothy Morse (George), Concilia Vaclavik, Ruby Kilpack, and Paul Gutierrez (Linda); 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Juan Rubel Gutierrez; her daughters, Susie Gutierrez and Barbara Gutierrez; her parents; and ten siblings — six brothers and four sisters.
A service will be held on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Camp Williams State Military Reservation, 17800 S Redwood Rd, Bluffdale, UT 84065.
"Her love was sewn into every stitch, cooked into every meal, and carried in the laughter of generations."
