Dora Jane Yee
March 4, 1934 – December 26, 2021
Our beautiful and kindhearted mother passed away peacefully on December 26, 2021. Dora Jane Yee born March 4, 1934 in Johnstown, PA to Alexander and Mary (Mundorff) Forsythe. Dora was one of 14 children. She married Chester F Yee on November 6, 1951, they moved to Utah to start their family together. They had four children Chester (Josie), Gary deceased (Bernadette), Cindy (Richard), Robert (Kerri) and honorary sister Gretchen. She leaves behind her legacy of Twelve grandchildren, Fifteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Dora and her husband owned and operated the China Doll Restaurant until they retired. She was generous to a fault she would literally give you the shirt off her back. She loved her family whole heartedly. She also loved to shop, read, fish and go to Wendover with family and friends. Sincere appreciation to our brother Chester and his wife Josie for caring for our mom over the past few years.
I’M FREE
Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free. I’m following the path God laid for me. I took his hand when I heard him call. I turned my back and left it all. If my parting has left a void then fill it with remembered joy. A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss-Ah yes, these things, I too will miss. Be not burdened with times of sorrow. My life’s been full, I savored much: good friends, good times, a loved one’s touch. Perhaps my time seemed all too brief. Don’t lengthen it now with undue grief. Lift up your heart and share with me. God wanted me now, He set me free.
Come celebrate her life with us on January 13, 2021 at Premier Funeral Services from 6 to 8 located at 67 East 8000 South Salt Lake City
