"Kidos" 1947-2025
Doris Christine Taradash (Chris), aged 78, passed away peacefully at her home in West Jordan, Utah, on October 4, 2025.
Chris was born on March 3, 1947, to James Edward and Doris Mary Backman in Salt Lake City, Utah. She graduated from West High School in 1965.
She met the love of her life, Martin (Marty) Taradash, in 1986; they married in 1987 and happily spent the next 38 years together.
When Chris wasn't gardening, she spent a lot of her time decorating, refurbishing furniture, and traveling with her husband. She loved reading, all animals, and snuggling with her sweet dog, Raider. She had a great love for her family and put them above all else. She will be sorely missed by all who loved her.
Chris is survived by her children, Daniel (Marlia), Maria (Phillip), and Sandra; her grandchildren, Sara, Ian, Owen, and Avery; her brothers, Ronald Backman (Barbara), and Randy Backman (Theresa); her sister, Kim; and several nieces, nephews, and close friends. Preceded in death by her parents, brothers Jimmy and Tom, and sisters Alene and Lisa.
A celebration of life will be held on October 25, 2025, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at the Fraternal Order of Eagles (FOE) at 1104 W. 2100 S. in Salt Lake City.
