Doris Jenson Taylor's Obituary
Doris Jenson Taylor
1923 - 2022
Doris Jenson Taylor, 99, passed away September 9, 2022 at her home. This was one of her last wishes. She was born August 21, 1923 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Charles Alfred and Daisy Minnie Grayston Jenson.
She married Kenneth B. Taylor December 4, 1942. He preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children Penny Morris, Charles Taylor, Mary Jo Rindlisbach, Launi Taylor and John Taylor. 23 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Doris loved her family very much and would do anything for them. She taught by example, modeling her life with the values and high standards she held dear. She was an accomplished seamstress, cook, gardener and genealogist. She loved being outdoors with her many plants and flowers. Her rose garden was the envy of all who saw it. Plants and flowers flourished under her touch, keeping her home filled with greenery and blossoms of every kind, year round. Her skill with the sewing machine was unprecedented. From every day clothing to gorgeous wedding dresses, she could do it all. Not to mention her crocheting and knitting. She crocheted afghans for every grandchild when they graduated high school. Countless baby booties and clothing was made by her hand. Blankets, afghans, scarves, beanies and many other items she made for family, friends and humanitarian aid. Her cooking was divine and she loved teaching her children and grandchildren how to cook. Her love and skill with genealogy and family history led to her designing the Easy Research Organizer, which was one of the many businesses she ran with her husband, Ken Taylor. Her children also worked alongside them in their many businesses, which inspired their love of business.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, holding many callings throughout her long life. Her love of the Savior showed in all she did.
She will be greatly missed, but the family is comforted with the knowledge that she is reunited with her sweetheart. Until we meet again, mom. We love you!
