Doris Simons Templin's Obituary
Doris S. Templin of Alpine, Utah passed away peacefully on December 19, 2013. She was born March 23rd, 1934 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah to Auer and Mary Simons. She lived there through her high school years eventually graduating from North Sanpete High School in 1952. After High School she spread her wings and headed for the big city finally landing in Salt Lake City where she met the love of her life, James Templin. They married on October 4, 1957 and were later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.
Doris loved raising her family in Kaysville, Utah and later moved to Alpine, Utah to settle into retirement. She was blessed with so many wonderful attribute’s some of them being a strong and determined work ethic, a wonderful sense of humor and a courageous spirit. That courage showed itself often as she faced so many physical challenges as she got older. Never one to complain she took it all in stride and showed each of us what courage truly is.
She loved the jobs she had throughout her life. She worked for Browning Arms, Fashion Fabrics, and the Salt Lake Clinic. She spent close to 22 years at the clinic working as an accountant and eventually the controller. She cherished all of the special relationships she developed with her fellow employees. Doris is survived by her husband, James Templin, her two children: Tammy (Dave) Long, Hemet CA., Scott (Vickie) Templin, Alpine, Utah and 5 wonderful granddaughters and 1 great grandson. Proceeded in death by Father, Mother and 10 siblings.
A viewing will be held on Monday December 23rd from 10:00am to 11:30am at the LDS Stake Center located at 327 South Long Drive Court, Alpine, UT 84004 followed by a graveside service at the Highland, UT Cemetery located at 6200 West 11000 North, Highland UT. 84003
