Dorothy Ann Haltiwanger Driscoll's Obituary
Dorothy Ann Haltiwanger-Huffingham-Driscoll died at her home in Payson,Utah October 25th. She was born December 20th, 1946 in Jacksonville, Florida to William Vernon Haltiwanger and Dorothy Louise Lee, both of Jacksonville, Florida.
Ann felt her calling in life was to nurse and care for others, which she did for 40 years. She received her nursing education in Tucson Arizona, graduating in 1971. She began her career at the Pima County Hospital as an I.C.U. Nurse.
Upon moving to Spanish Fork Utah in 1975 she went to work at Utah Valley Hospital in the newborn nurseries. Later, she worked at the Utah State Hospital. She also worked in Home Health, hospice and private in-home patient care. At the end of her career, she was a nurse for Granite School district.
Her second love was teaching, she taught at UVSC, SLTATC, TATC, SLCC.
Ann Joined the L.D.S. Church at the age of fifteen, she remained a faithful member and loved her Savior, and served where ever called and loved every opportunity to serve. She had a passion for genealogy, not only for her own family, but many, many others.
Ann loved animals, especially cats. She loved singing, travel, cooking, sewing, baking, quilting, crochet, and gardening; especially flowers, and mowing her lawn.
She was a voracious reader; her all-time favorite book was the scriptures, even as young as four years old.
The love for her family was paramount. She was blessed with six children: Ted Reagan, Pamela Theresa, Shanie Leanne, Kjirsti Marie, Mary Caldwell and Charles Patrick. She was a single mother, far from her family. She taught her children the value of hard work, and sacrifice.
Ann would like her ward family to know how much she loved and appreciated all the loving acts of service and kindness extended to her in the 29 years she lived in the Payson 8th ward.
