Our hearts, love, and prayers are with each of you. I got to see Doug at the family Christmas party in 2016. I was so happy to see him since I had only seen him once before over many years. He came to our boy, Travis' funeral service in 2012. I wasn't up to talking to him at that service, but I got to make up for it at the Christmas party. I am so thankful for that. My heart is sad for all of the Barney family. May God embrace you and comfort each of you.

On the Friday before Dougs passing, my mom and grandma and I went to see Doug. He was full of jokes and giving and hard time to all of us. When we were getting ready to leave I leaned down to get an amazing "DOUG HUG", as he wrapped his arms around me ans squeezed, he whispered in my ear "I remember you always being one of the kids to run to me and push others out of the way to hug me" and chuckled. That meant the world to me! I will always miss my "DOUG HUGS"!! 😭💔
