Douglas Alan Dell's Obituary
Douglas Alan Dell (Butch), 74 of SLC passed away on November 27, 2025.
Born January 1, 1951 to Douglas Dell and Shirley Loveland Dell.
Doug found happiness in life’s greatest hobbies. He could often be found on the golf course, taking in the sunshine and perfecting his swing, or relaxing at home with a baseball game on—always ready to cheer on his favorite teams. He was a devoted Raiders fan through and through and enjoyed teasing his family who had favorite rival teams, often greeting them with “Go Raiders” instead of hello. He enjoyed spending time with the family at casinos, where he had fun trying his luck. He made lifelong friends from Hillcrest High that he loved getting together with. These passions brought him happiness, and filled his days with stories and laughter that his loved ones will cherish forever.
He is survived by his sister, Diana (Richard) Chapman; brothers, Danny Dell and Duane Dell; aunts, Linda and Marie; niece, DeLynn (Will); nephew, Derek; niece, Danielle (Babbie); as well as many beloved cousins, family members and his life long friend Sherri Morgan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; uncle, Lee Loveland as well as many great friends.
As he requested, and in keeping with his wishes, no formal services will take place. Instead, his family invites everyone to honor him by cherishing the moments shared and celebrating his life in the ways he would have loved.
