My grandpa Bill (Gramps) is in my Top 5 Most Influential People" in my life. When I was 5 he gave me my first hammer and built me a work bench... Then helped us built our first tree house, showed me how to weld, solder, and build things! He trusted me and my brothers to re-shingle his roof when I was 15, and gave me confidence to use tools I'd never even seen before.
I work a blue collar job in construction, and I can say with pride that my grandpa taught me how to work with my hands... And for that I'll be forever grateful. He showed me the value of hard work, waking up early, and doing the job right the first time.
His faith in Jesus, love for his family, and work ethic were a model for me and countless others... And I'm so proud to call him my Gramps. Love you.
