Dear Gail and Poulos family,
I am writing to you to express my gratitude to your husband and father, Chris Poulos. Chris had an incredible impact on my life. Though I cannot repay Chris, I can at least share my story with you: My father, Bill Hubner, served as a medic with Chris in the US Air Force. After Chris’s miraculous conversion to Jesus Christ, Chris persuaded my father to attend Brigham Young University. It was at BYU that my father met my mother. My father was baptized and became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ. My parents married in the Salt Lake Temple. I was born, the second of three brothers, into a Latter-Day Saint home where I was taught the gospel of Jesus Christ. My brothers and I were each baptized. We each served as missionaries. We were blessed to marry good women in the temple of God. We had children and raised them with a knowledge of God. They each grew up to be fine men and women. We served in positions of responsibility in the Church of Jesus Christ. Though callings, rank or position do not matter to the Lord, it may be meaningful to you to know that we each served as bishops and the youngest, also, as a stake president. I tell you this to give you a vision of the impact your husband and father had on one man, my father, and through my father’s conversion alone, Chris brought thousands of souls to Christ. I am one of them. I thank God for Chris Poulos!
