E Irene Hadley's Obituary
On October 25 2013, Irene passed away in her sleep, at her home in Holladay, Utah. She was 84. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Suzan Dorton, her son Robert Dorton and her brother Ron Lowe. She was the daughter of Ralph Lowe and Laura Short (Bud). She is survived by her sisters Jeanette Norton and Carol Hebb; daughters Cheryl Howard (Dean), Keely Shurtz (Mark); son Brad Dorton; three grandchildren, Adam & Emily Madsen , Jennifer Howard, and four great-grandchildren.
She was born April 15, 1929 and grew up in Ogden, attending Ogden High School. Irene served on the Salt Lake County Bar Auxiliary, the Salt Lake City Newcomers Group, Red Cross, Holy Cross Hospital and gardening for the elderly. Her favorite things in life included her faithful companion Paddy, a Yorkshire Terrier who was born on St. Patricks Day, her fabulous gardens, anything chocolate, fashion, dancing and movies. She loved the simple things in life. She never missed an opportunity to brighten someone's day with a complement or kind words. She will be greatly missed. Memorial services will held on Oct. 30th at 10:00 am, LDS Chapel 1160 E. Vine, Murray. We will be forever grateful for the loving care and friendship given to our mother by Ana Vea and Bristol Hospice.
