Edgar Dieckmann , son of Katie Wutzig and Hans Dieckmann, born on March 4, 1949 in Erfurt, Germany, passed away at home on November 23, 2020 with family at his side at the age of 71.
Married for 51 years to Nancy Glasgow in Salt Lake. Blessed with 5 children: Tamra Dieckmann, Sandy; Laura Hines, Sandy; Timothy Dieckmann (Laura) of Taylorsville; Susan Goold, Magna and Richy Dieckmann (Elizabeth) Magna. Also 14 grandchildren and 1 greatgrandchild. Other survivors are 3 siblings: Eleanor Curtis (Paul) WVC; Hans Dieckmann-SLC; Ingrid Dieckmann--SLC. Attended University of Utah. Loved History of the Mayan and Aztec. Worked at Old Home Bread where he retired in Sept 2000. Took out his U.S. Naturalization in December 16, 1999. Elder of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. Loved being assistant little league baseball coach for his son. Loved to substitute teach elementary after retiring from the bakery. Loved taking long drives to look at scenery. Is preceded in death by his parents Hans Dieckmann and Kaite Wutzig Dieckmann
