Edward Richard (Jumpin' Ed) Hadley 4/15/37-1/25/14
Edward Richard Hadley, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away at home in his sleep surrounded by family and loved ones on January 25, 2014. Ed had endured a long and courageous fight with cancer.
Ed loved all things patriotic, and after serving in the military he settled down into civilian life. His work life was spent in the sales industry where many knew him as "Jumpin' Ed". He was an avid story teller and a jack of all trades. He was known to say, "If I can't fix it, it ain't broken ". He was always up for a challenge and willing to put it to the test. He was always willing to lend a helping hand when the occasion arose. He loved technology and all of the latest gadgets. He took pride in his yard and loved barbecues and spending time with family and friends. Also an avid thrill seeker he went sky diving at the age of 70 as a tribute to living life to the fullest and never slowing down.
He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years Karen Hadley, Sister Pat Craythorn (Gary), Daughter Tami McVay (Mark), Daughter Robin Hadley, Son Mark Hadley (Stacy), Daughter Michelle Hadden (Rodney), Son Kevin Hadley, Daughter Kristin Arnold (Rob), Stepson Paul Mobley (Jackie), Stepdaughter Lori Barnes, 21 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Cathryn and Rarneld Gray.
A small memorial and celebration of his life will be held Saturday February 8th at 12:00 noon in the LDS Canyon Hollows Ward, 1550 Rushton, Ogden UT, 84401. A thirty minute gathering of family and friends to share photos and memorabilia will precede the service at 12:00 noon.
