Bino Levitt & Marty Jones
I am sorry to hear of Eddie’s death. My mother always said he was the nicest person she had ever met. I think that’s probably true, and he was also one of the truly great ski instructors. For me personally, Eddie shared everything he knew about skiing and it made my life better and happier. That’s a real gift. He found a way to teach powder skiing to the normal recreational skier where it had been more the reserve of the serious athlete. He boiled down technique to its basics (early pole, counter rotation.…) so people could learn to ski any slope even if they weren’t young and strong - and with kindness and calm support helped even the most fearful to succeed. Quite the feat before skis evolved to make skiing so much easier. He is missed, and our thoughts are with the Morris family, where he will be missed most of all.
