Edwin Mark Moth Iversen's Obituary
Edwin Mark Moth Iversen, 62, passed away August 14, 2017.
Edwin was born on November 7, 1954 to Ivan Moth Iversen and Grace Edna Walton. A lifetime resident of Salt Lake City, Edwin graduated from West High school and went on to complete a degree at Southern Utah College in Cedar City, UT. Edwin was a devoted and lifelong member of the LDS church and was also a Born Again Christian. His commitment to God and service defined his life. His faith extended beyond any denomination, using his daily walk to serve as a Christian Missionary and following the spiritual principles of Emotions Anonymous. His last days were spent in service, reading the Book of Mormon to his roommate.
Edwin was a devoted son, brother, husband, father and grandfather especially enjoying the time he could spend with his children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Ellen “Kooki” Nelson, father Ivan Moth Iversen, brothers Anthony Lon, Richard Don, and daughter Virginia Grace. He is survived by his mother Grace Edna (Walton)(Moth Iversen) Hovey; brothers Ronald (Deborah), and Darrell (Amy) Moth Iversen; sisters Elene Dangerfield and Meraleen (Terry) Cain; son Andreas “AJ” (Alexandra), daughters Cassiopia Jenson and Miriam (Lee) Smith; five grandchildren and many other extended family members, friends and loved ones.
Edwin’s family would like to thank the Alpine Meadows rehabilitation and nursing staff for the excellent care they provided while he was there and the members of the Canyon Rim First Ward for their love and support of Edwin.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Canyon Rim First Ward. 3000 S. Grace Street (3100 East). Friends may visit with the family at the church Saturday morning between 10:00 and 10:45 a.m. with services beginning at 11:00 a.m.
