When I was 11, I spent three weeks with Kaarina and Ken in Omaha. The experience was remarkable and unforgettable for a girl from a small Finnish village! Kaarina hosted us with warmth and Keni took us to see the sights, it seemed like there was something new and fun to do every day. I had started playing the piano and taught Kaarina a simple song, we were also united by our admiration for beautiful things and clothes, as well as our hobby of painting, which later grew into a profession for me. Kaarina was joyful and outgoing and despite the age difference, we became friends easily and immediately. I am forever grateful for these memories!
With love
