Eileen Nyberg's Obituary
Eileen Wilkes Nyberg (Bountiful, Utah), loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours on Monday October 9th, 2017.
Eileen was born October 2nd, 1956 in Afton Wyoming. She was the second child of eight to Lynn Wood Wilkes and Gayle Kennington Wilkes. Her childhood was spent in Afton Wyoming, Centerville Utah and Corvallis Oregon. She married Llamar Jenkins November 11th, 1979 and was blessed with her two sons whom were truly the loves of her life. She was later divorced. Although she only had two biological children, Eileen was a mother figure to many. She graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in psychology and spent many years counseling trouble youth as a drug and alcohol counselor. She loved collecting antiques and vintage clothing. Her greatest joy in later life was being grandma “LaLa” to Hailey, Analeise, Jackson and Alorah.
Eileen is preceded in death by her father, mother, her brother Robert Wilkes, her sister Karen Caples and her oldest son Dustin Jenkins. She is survived by her love for the past 16 years Craig Mikesell; her youngest son, Jesse Jenkins (Brooke); daughter-in-law, Corynn Jenkins; siblings, David Wilkes, Alison Fluckiger (Larry), Laurie Williams, Eric Wilkes, Cheryl Zahne (Marcus); several nieces and nephews, and her beloved grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held for friends and family on Saturday October 14th, 2017 2:00 pm at the Orchard 5th Ward (3599 Orchard Drive Bountiful, Utah 84010). Please join us as we celebrate the beautiful person we will never forget, Eileen. We love you Lala.
