It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Elaina Louise Walters who departed this world on January 25, 2024, at the age of
61 due to complications from open heart surgery. Born in Glendale, California on April 6, 1962, Elaina's life was a testament to the
enduring power of love, compassion, and resilience.
Elaina was a woman of exceptional grace and kindness. Throughout her life, she exhibited a deep and abiding love for those around her.
Her generous spirit knew no bounds, and her unwavering compassion touched the lives of countless individuals. She had a way of
making everyone she met feel valued and cherished.
Elaina's love for others extended beyond her family and friends. She had an innate ability to empathize with the struggles of those less
fortunate, and she dedicated herself to making the world a better place for all. She helped save many lives as an EMT for Sevier County
Ambulance, Richfield Rehabilitation Center, and Air Med. Her selflessness was a source of inspiration to everyone who had the privilege
of knowing her.
Elaina faced her own health challenges with grace and courage. Her strength and resilience in the face of adversity were a testament to
her indomitable spirit. Her ability to find joy in the simplest of moments was a source of inspiration for all who knew her.
In her 61 years of life, Elaina touched the hearts of many and left an indelible mark on the world. Her memory will forever be cherished by
those who had the privilege of knowing her, and her legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough
to be a part of her life.
Elaina Louise Walters is survived by her newlywed husband, Dennis Maynard, who stood by her side through thick and thin. She is also
survived by her parents, Peter and Judy Wells, her sister, Sheryl Gibbs, her brother, PeterWells, her mother-in-law, Judy Walters, her
daughter and son-in-law, Kabriel and Garrett Duerden, son-in-law Louiski Ramirez and her beloved grandchildren Micheala Loftis,
Garrex Duerden, Garrison Duerden, Aaliyah Duerden, Caenen Mesa, Britton Ramirez, Harley Ramirez, and Sevin Ramirez, and her neices
Desiree Morgan and Valerie Sexton.
She was preceded in death by her late husband, Bill Walters, her father-in-law, Ray Walters, and her daughter, Jennifer Barnes who
recently passed away in November 2023.
In lieu of flowers, we kindly request that donations be made directly to her daughter Kabriel Duerden's venmo account (@Kabriel-Duerden) in honor of Elaina Walters to help with memorial costs and legal fees associated with her mother's death to show love and
support.
No memorial service is immediately planned. The family will notify loved ones in the near future when it is scheduled.
May her soul rest in eternal peace.
