Elda Sue Rasmussen's Obituary
Elda Sue passed away peacefully, Saturday, June 13, 2026. She was born November 29, 1947, the 11th of 12 children to Albert Calvin & Golda Snow Rasmussen in Roosevelt, Utah.
December of 1949 the family moved to Salt Lake City. She attended Redwood Elementary, Valley Junior High and Granite High School. After she graduated from High School she started working for Mountain Bell (the telephone company) and retired after 44 years of service.
After she retired from the phone company she served eleven years in the Church cannery and enjoyed her service there. She played the piano for two retirement homes and made many friends.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She held many callings, pianist, organist and she loved teaching the primary children and watch them grow up to leave on missions and get married.
She was always busy tending nieces and nephews and was a mother to everyone. She loved to crochet and shared this talent with all.
The last two years of her life she suffered from dementia. We would like to thank the workers from the Ridge at Cottonwood and Rocky Mountain Hospice nurses for their tender care.
She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Jenny (Bill) Latham, Donna (Carl) Wilkerson, Bonnie (Bernie) House, Vera (Gene) Cook, Dean Rasmussen, Gale Rasmussen and sisters-in law Ila Rasmussen and Marilyn Rasmussen and brother-in-law Lyle Taylor.
