Elden Dale Gooch
He went by his middle name Dale. He was born 6 September 1942 in Blackfoot, Bingham, Idaho to Elden Clair Gooch and Lottie Merrell. His passing was 1 June 2022 in South Ogden, Weber, Utah at the South Ogden Post Acute facility.
He had fractured his back while living in Pocatello, Idaho. The hospital transported him to Salt Lake City, Utah for further care, later transferred to South Ogden Post Acute where he would be closer to family, upon his family’s request. He loved having his own private room, medications brought to him, meals brought to him, or he would eat in the dining room, games (bingo and mini golf on the Nintendo Wii), interaction with sweet people, physical therapy, church meetings …

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He loved going to the temple, being a Sunday school president and coordinating activities for his Saint Anthony Branch.
He was a resident of Pocatello, Idaho for many years. He had a passion for watching professional sports He loved his work and worked hard. He loved being in the limelight. He had a lot of love and respect for his dad. He loved his family and friends. He loved receiving letters, cards and pictures from family and friends and took a lot of pictures himself.
When Dale couldn’t drive any more, he loved riding his bike. When he couldn’t ride his bike anymore, he walked everywhere.
His family is so proud of him for overcoming his obstacles and challenges.
