Elden G Tervort's Obituary
Elden G. Tervort passed away peacefully in the early hours of the morning on March 16, 2024 surrounded by family who loved him dearly.
Elden was born in Payson, Utah to Glen and Nona Tervort on July 24, 1946. He was the oldest of four children.
He attended Payson High School where he was a standout on the wrestling team. It was during this time that he met the love of his life and future wife, Linda Brown.
Soon after graduation from Payson High School, Elden and Linda were married on February 19, 1965. This was the beginning of a beautiful 59 year marriage. They had five children, Frank, Michelle, Jared, Jason and Michael.
Elden was known as a dependable hard worker and provided a great living for his family.
He worked as a steel worker at Geneva Steel, was a home builder and general contractor, owned a cabinet shop, co-owned a wedding business, and was also able to follow his true passion working with horses. He worked at many local ranches and was sought after for breaking and training horses.
Elden was loved by many and he found his greatest joy in his faith, family and his friends.
Elden is preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Nona Tervort, his brother, Tom Tervort, and his beloved son, Jason Tervort. Elden is survived by his eternal companion Linda Tervort and their children Frank Tervort (Christine), Michelle Raley (Marshal), Jared Tervort (Stacy), and Michael Tervort (Lacie), 17 Grandchildren. 22 Great Grandchildren. Siblings: David Tervort (Kathy), Teena Christopherson (Kevin), sister-in-law, Paula Tervort.
A celebration of his well lived life will be Saturday, March 23, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Goshen, Utah. 75 South Center Street, Goshen, Utah.
There will be a visitation from 9:30-10:45 a.m. at the Goshen church prior to the services. Interment will be in the Goshen City Cemetery.
