Elisabeth Alberts Bolter's Obituary
Elisabeth Alberts Bolter 5 May 1957 - 1 February 2022
Elisabeth Alberts, loved daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother, passed away Tuesday, 1 February 2022 of complications from diabetes. She was born 5 May 1957 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Albert Kornelis Alberts and Geessien Blokzijl Alberts. She started her schooling in Salt Lake County. When her father got a job with the Church College of Hawaii, they moved to Hauula on the island of Oahu. She spent 4 years there until she developed a skin condition that forced the family back to Utah. She graduated from Bountiful Jr. High and Bountiful High Schools.
After graduation she got a job with Cooper’s putting together security meters to be used in airports. After working there she moved to Salt Lake City and worked for Deseret Book Company embossing scriptures. While there she became active in the Young Adult program of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. On 24 July 1976, the young gentleman Elisabeth was dating at the time made the mistake of asking another man to give her a ride to a YSA picnic; she caught the eye of the YA leader, Erwin Bolter, and they were inseparable. They were married 21 August 1976 in Reno, Washoe, Nevada. They and their first daughter, Sarah Jennifer Bolter, were sealed for time and all eternity in the Salt Lake Temple on 13 January 1979. Elisabeth served faithfully in many church callings, but her favorite was being ward librarian in the Lorin Farr Ward.
She creatively dealt with every challenge life threw at her with grace and fierce tenacity. She devoted her whole life to taking care of her family, and she took care of every stray child or animal that crossed her path as well. She always gave freely of what little material things she had.
She is survived by her husband, Conrad Erwin Bolter, and 5 daughters: Sarah Jennifer Teasdale (Nathan); Hannah Leah Melton (John); Irene Leilani Bolter; Aylet Augustine Bolter; and Geessien Charlene Dowdle (Charles). She also has 3 grandchildren: Daniel and Hailey Teasdale and Scott Dowdle.
As per her request, she was cremated. Cremation by Premier Mortuary. A memorial will be held this February 12 at 1:00 pm at the church house on 1650 South 200 East, Orem, UT.
