Elizabeth Benadik's Obituary
Elizabeth "Betka" Benadik was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She passed on July 18th 2024 at age 74 after a valiant battle with cancer.
She was born on November 18th 1949 in Czechoslovakia, as the youngest of 13 siblings. She attended The Central Industrial School of Electrical Engineering before moving to England and traveling across Europe with friends and family. Soon after she returned to Slovakia, she met her husband and had 3 children, and together they moved to the United States. Elizabeth then graduated from the University of Utah and went on to work at the Utah State Tax Commission for nearly 3 decades, where she was a treasured colleague.
Elizabeth enjoyed nature and spending her time outdoors. She often went skiing, hiking, swimming, and out for long walks. She loved the rain and snow, Christmas movies, and traveling. But above all, she loved her family.
She lived life to the fullest, and accomplished many incredible feats during her lifetime. Her laughter, strength, and caring spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Elizabeth is survived by her 3 sons and 3 granddaughters, and will be remembered for her courage, passion, and dedication to those she cared for.
