Elizabeth Kay Walker Stone's Obituary
Elizabeth Kay Walker Stone, 91, passed away January 19, 2021. She was born April 17, 1929 in Nephi, Utah to Paul and LaRue Walker. She moved to Springville, Utah when she was in first grade. Elizabeth graduated from Springville High and attended Brigham Young University.
She served a mission in the Northwestern States. Upon her return, she married the love of her life, Conrad Stone. The two were married in the Manti Temple, January 16, 1951.
A life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served the Lord in many capacities on the stake and ward level in the Primary, Young Women, Relief Society and Sunday School organizations. She was able to serve a mission with her dear husband later in life in the Tacoma Washington Mission.
Elizabeth’s greatest joy and primary focus was her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She made sure to be a part of her children’s life by serving on the PTA board and helping out as a room mom. She loved getting the family together for parties. She loved to cook and made sure things looked nice. She always wrote thoughtful notes to family members and friends. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and other hand work. She made many beautiful crochet gifts for others throughout her life.
Elizabeth is survived by her children: Paula Tervort (Tom), Pamela Barnes (Robb), Sandy McGee (Randy), Joseph Stone (deceased), and James Stone (Patrice); 20 grandchildren and 71 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, son, parents, sister and brother.
