Ella Marie Deimler's Obituary
Ella Marie Deimler
1934 - 2022
On Saturday, September 3, 2022, Ella Marie Deimler passed away in her home surrounded by her family. Her passing came after a battle with Leukemia. She was 87 years old. She left this earthly existence the same way she lived her life, with courage, with faith in Jesus Christ and with a great love for her family and friends. She was an exceptional wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She served all those around her selflessly and compassionately. Many who were not in her biological family called her Mother or Granny, because she treated everyone like family.
Marie was born in Granville, Pennsylvania on November 9, 1934 to Blain and Dorothy Walter. She was the fourth of 10 children, one brother, 7 sisters, and one brother who died shortly after birth. She was married on December 25, 1953 to William (Bill) LeRoy Deimler Jr. Three years later they moved to New Mexico where they raised their family and lived for 64 years. In 2020 they moved to Utah to be closer to family. Marie is survived by her husband of 68 years, William LeRoy Deimler Jr., her four children and their spouses; Yvonne (Jim) Popham of Arkansas, William L (Kathy) Deimler of Utah, Pam (Len) Catanach of Texas, and Glenn (Sandy) Deimler of Alabama, 14 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren. A sentiment shared by all her grandchildren and great grandchildren was, “If a warm hug was a person that would be my Granny”. “Granny loved with her whole heart”. “She was love personified”. We love her and will miss her
