Elliott Dwain Roberts, Sr. of Provo, Utah passed away June 25, 2022. Elliott was born in Ogden, Utah March 9, 1928. He is survived by his wife, Alene Redd Roberts, his daughters Emily Lauritzen (Mark) of Danbury, Connecticut, Christie Atkinson (Doug) of Orem, Utah, Cynthia Shaw (Jeff) of Highland, Utah, and his sons Dwain Roberts (Caroline) of Jefferson City, Missouri and Whitney Roberts (Lisa) of Pleasant Grove, Utah.
He is also survived by two brothers, Robert Roberts (Sue) of Centerville, Utah and Tom Roberts (Glenda) of Mesa, Arizona.
Elliott and Alene have 21 grandchildren 39 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Elliott is preceded in death by his parents, Elliott Jessop Roberts and Susan Gladwyn Roberts and his sister Shirley Jean Redd (Lloyd).
Elliott was a teenage radio star in Fort Worth, Texas, attended Texas Christian University, served a mission for The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints in England 1949-1951, and graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in business and accounting.
Elliott married Alene Redd of Monticello, Utah on June 23, 1952 in the Salt Lake Temple.
During his professional life Elliott was an executive in the Tandy corporate family and also an entrepreneur and inventor.
He loved acting and drama. He wrote “roadshows” and melodramas. He especially loved BYU football.
