Emma Holley's Obituary
Emma Holley
1997 - 2023
Emma Holley of Millcreek, Utah, left us brokenhearted as she passed away peacefully in her sleep from a seizure on May 1, 2023, after a two-year battle with epilepsy.
Emma was born on September 4, 1997 to David and Jerie Holley. She was the youngest of six children and was loved and treasured by all of her family.
She grew up in East Millcreek where she attended Upland Terrace Elementary, Wasatch Junior, and both Skyline and Olympus High schools, graduating early. She was involved for several years in dance groups and dance competition.
Emma loved being surrounded by others, laughing, and giving. She demonstrated and brought to us happiness, color, fragrance, music, kindness, and love. She took on each new challenge of this mortal life with optimism and a sense of humor. She never once complained about the medications, treatments, appointments, or trials of her epilepsy. We miss her terribly and look forward to holding her in our arms again, this time never to be separated. Until that time, we take comfort in knowing she’s being embraced in the arms of our Savior.
Her memory is lovingly carried forth by her parents, her siblings, Glen (Jing) Holley, Sandy; Shannon (Michael) Thornton, East Millcreek; Taylor Holley, East Millcreek; Sean Holley, West Jordan; Evan (Nakay) Holley, Cottonwood Heights; eight nieces and nephews she adored; and Adam Bokish.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, May 13, 2023, at the East Millcreek 4th Ward Chapel, 3103 East Craig Drive, Millcreek, UT. A viewing will be held from 9:30-10:45 am prior to the services. Interment will be held at Memorial Holladay Cemetery, Holladay, UT.
