Erlinda Moran's Obituary
Erlinda Moran, 75 years of age, passed on Saturday January 14, 2023 at Cascades at Riverwalk. Erlinda was born November 20, 1947 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Fransico and Josefina Moran. She was the oldest of 9 children. Erlinda had many accomplishments. One of which graduating at Weber State University with a bachelor's degree and receiving a Crystal Crest award.
All of us have known her in a variety of roles: mother, aunt, cousin, grandmother and great friend. Erlinda enjoyed dancing, music and art. She loved traveling and always had a desire to live life to it's fullest. Many of us have had the privileged to know her as Ms. Queen Elizabeth because of her royalty aura.
I’m sure everyone has memories of Erlinda such as her tapping of her foot to numerous songs like bohemian rhapsody, a song she reminded herself of Lil Rudy, the aromas of her kitchen when she made her morning coffee. They are good memories, something we’ll always have to cherish. It isn’t often in our lives that we come across someone so special.
Erlinda lived a simple life. It didn’t take much to make her happy—a phone call, a card, a visit or a kiss before saying, “good night old lady, see you tomorrow”. The grandkids, her daughters, and sister and brothers were the most important people in the world to her. Erlinda lived to make our lives better and was proud of us. We can never forget that there is a part of Erlinda in each of us, something that she gave to us and asked nothing for in return. It is permanent, and it keeps from becoming just a wonderful memory. It allows Erlinda in so many ways to remain just as alive as always—alive through us.
Erlinda leaves 2 children, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, and host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
