Errol Stafford Bevan's Obituary
Errol Stafford Bevan was born on November 20, 1948, and went to heaven on June 3, 2026, at the age of 77 years old. His loving parents were J Bertram Bevan and Velda Jane Bates Bevan McKellar. Errol was the 3rd oldest of his 10 siblings.
Many knew Errol through their association with him as he sold and serviced their boats at his and his brothers’ dealership known as Bevan’s Marine which was located in West Valley City. Many others knew Errol as being a loving and faithful husband, father, “Papa”, uncle and friend.
Errol’s example of fatherhood and devotion to family was displayed with his marriage and sealing in the Salt Lake Temple on April 16, 1980. He gained an instant family that he dearly loved when he married his beloved wife Hollie Clare Atkinson Bevan, his daughter Cassandra Leigh Bevan, and his sons Cameron Dean Bevan and Michael Brandon Bevan.
For most of his life, Errol walked the covenant path to become more holy as he rededicated his life to our Savior Jesus Christ in preparation of His Second Coming and to be reunited to his Heavenly Home, his Heavenly Parents and loved ones, and eventually to his loving wife, Hollie.
As a life-long member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he was Called to Serve in various callings; however, he spent many years serving as a missionary for Jesus Christ as both a Ward and Stake missionary, as a Temple Missionary for 2 years to the Madrid, Spain Temple, as an Inner-City Service Missionary to the Murray 2nd Ward – Spanish speaking, and as an Employment Missionary. He also was both blessed and privileged to be Called to Serve in one of the Lord’s Holy Temples beginning in 1982 at the Jordan River Temple, then later in the Salt Lake Temple, then the Madrid, Spain Temple and again in the Salt Lake Temple. Errol loved standing and serving in Holy places.
Errol is survived by his beloved and loving wife and children: Hollie; Cassandra (Bo) Ray; Cameron (Katie) Bevan; Michael (Aubrey) Bevan; 15 grandchildren: Cody (Christina) Ray; Chelsea (Ashton) Atkinson, Caitlin (Nathaniel) Young, Jayden (Ashton) Owens, Liberty Russell-Bevan, Jerzey Russell-Bevan, Levi Russell-Bevan, Lennox Russell-Bevan, Kai Bevan, Dre Bevan and Kayloni Bevan; his brothers and sisters: Lanny (Rushell) Bevan, Angela Crook, Kerry (Diana) Bevan, Shelley Orn, Jay Bevan, Kyle (Jennett) McKellar, Allison (Todd) Heiner and his sister-in-law Reta Bevan. Errol has been preceded by those passing earlier: his parents J and Velda Bevan and his stepfather Frank McKellar; his brothers Del Ray Bevan and Marlo Robert Closser; and his brother-in-law Fred Crook.
The funeral will be on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 12pm noon, at the Grantsville 9th Ward, 415 West Apple Street, Grantsville, Utah 84029. Those wishing to greet the family may do so at 11am preceding the service.
The family wishes to thank Premier Funeral Services for their compassionate and kind cremation services. Interment will be delayed until both Errol and Hollie can be reunited again together forever.
