Estela Muniz-Beltran's Obituary
1966-2024
We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and partner, Estela Muniz-Beltran.
Estela was born in Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico to Sabino C. and Carmen Orozco-Muniz on November 5, 1966. She attended Las Vegas Academy and later graduated from Las Vegas High School.
Estela was a strong, independent soul who loved America and worked hard to support her family. She was blessed with a daughter and a son while in Las Vegas and then moved to Utah with her long-time friend Merle Ann Downey.
While in Utah, she met her companion, Andres Beltran. Together they were blessed with 3 beautiful daughters that they raised in Utah County.
Estela’s passions were her family. She was very proud of her kids and loved being a mom and a grandmother. She enjoyed having the grandchildren at her home and would often be seen with her children and grandchildren at social events, weekly Sunday breakfast at Golden Coral, and family parties in her home. Nieces, nephews, brothers, sisters, grandchildren and children were always welcome. She loved them all. Even in the last years, as Estela battled kidney failure and painful dialysis, she always had a smile and a love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Estela is survived by her partner, Andres Beltran, their 5 children Monica (Brandon) Muniz, Ricardo Muniz, Paulina Beltran, Alyssa (Alex) Beltran, and Andri Beltran. Her grandchildren Omar Muniz, Anna Muniz, and Benjamin Muniz. Her siblings Fernando Muniz, Jesus M. Muniz, Andres Muniz, Rosa Salas, Bob Muniz, Manuel Muniz, Ana Vounas, and Sabino Muniz.
She was preceded in death by her father, Sabino C Muniz, her mother, Carmen Orozco-Muniz, and her long-time friend Merle Ann Downey.
