Eugene Luther Brown's Obituary
Eugene passed away in the evening of April 23, 2023 at the age of 84 in Pleasant Grove, Utah after a brief stay at Mission Alpine Care Center. Eugene was born in Lewistown, Montana on February 22, 1939 to his parents Edna May and Eugene Luther Brown. Gene was preceded in death by his parents, two older sisters, Betty and Donna and also his younger brother Michael. He is survived by his younger sister Sandy.
Many thanks go out to the staff of the facility for their compassionate service and care for Gene. He was well thought of by the staff and by his CNS hospice care team. Gene had a love of music and singing Karaoke which he shared with his care givers with recording he had made in years past. Gene was a star athlete in Columbia Falls Montana growing up. Sports became the center of his life and stayed that way for his whole life. Gene also served honorably in the Army at the Pentagon for 2 years as a cryptologist. His working years included time with large Insurance companies and later having his own agency. He also spent many hours on ball fields working as an umpire. Gene was an accomplished fastpitch softball pitcher and sponsored and coached many great teams that were very competitive. He developed a unique process for sports plaques and awards that he sold. Gene’s sense of humor will be greatly missed. He had a love for his savior Jesus Christ and has finally joined his family and his dog Bo that he has missed for so many years.
It was Eugene's wishes to be cremated and that no services would be held. His remains will be interred at the Camp Williams Military Cemetery.
