Eugene Horne's Obituary
Gene Horne born August 22nd, 1938 passed away January 11th, 2022 at 83 years young.
Gene Horne born in Smithfield, Utah to Vernal Horne and Leah Bingham. Passed away peacefully surrounded by family in the home of his daughter Tracey.
Gene married his 8th grade sweetheart Carol Bishop May 25th, 1957 in Richland, Washington.
Gene graduated from Columbia High School in Richland, WA. A true Bomber fan!
Gene was blessed with 5 daughters.
He set out on adventure of a lifetime and moved his family from Richland to the last frontier the city of Ketchikan, Alaska.
He was the Aquatics Director for the two indoor pools for 20 years. He developed a Swim Club, Ketchikan Killer Whales Swim Team which continues on to this day.
Gene was a boxing coach in Richland and continued his coaching skills in Ketchikan.

Gene is proceeded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, 2 sisters, his daughter Tami and great grandson Brogan.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years Carol Horne. Daughters, Tracey Scadden (Bob) of Roy, UT. Dana Godwin of Buffalo, New York. Melanie Lindaas (Chris) of Pleasant View, UT and Jennifer Lewis (Riley) of Holladay, UT. 19 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren , 1 great great grandson and a great great grandson coming in March.
