I will never forget grandpa's jokes, or "Gene jokes" as I've always known them. He was always so quick to jump in with a joke or a funny comment to make people smile. Even when he wasn't having the best day, he'd try to brighten mine. I will also never forget how much he loved grandma. I don't think I ever heard him refer to her as Nola. It was always honey, or dear, or sweetheart. I always felt like I was hanging around a pair of newlyweds, because you could just feel their love in the air whenever you were around it. I think I will remember that most. We love you grandpa.
