Our dear mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend, Evelyn “Deanna” Solt Taylor passed away on Thursday, November 28th, 2024, at Utah Valley Hospital, in Provo, Utah. She was 87 years old.
Deanna was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Dean Mason and Evelean Brown Solt. She was one of twelve children.
She grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, and also spent 5 years in Taylorsville, Utah with her older cousin and her family. At her cousin's farm she helped with house and farm chores (and helped with children) from a very young age.
She was married to Richard K. Ludwig for 21 years and had six children; Jean Schulz, Wayne Ludwig, Shirley Kiholm, Janet Ludwig, Blaine Ludwig, and Elaine Lopez.
Years later, she married Robert E. Taylor, who had seven children; Susann, Aileen, Paulette, Robyn, Julie, Rachel, and Wade.
Bob and Deanna spent 30 wonderful years together. They enjoyed traveling and had many adventures together, including spending their summers in Island Park, Idaho, where they built a cabin.
She enjoyed hosting family and friends at the cabin, fishing, listening to music, dancing, helping and spending time with friends and family.
Deanna was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on March 19, 1978, and shared Bible truths for nearly 50 years. During that time, she loved to talk about Jehovah God and his Kingdom that the Bible promises will provide a resurrection for those who have passed away. Also, a time when there will be no more sickness or suffering. Rev. 21:3, 4.
She is survived by her daughters Jean Schulz, Shirley Kiholm, and Elaine Lopez, her brother Gordon Solt, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
