Faifuaina Lucille Schwenke's Obituary
Faifuaina “Ina” Schwenke-Tauiliili, age 42, of Taylorsville, UT. Loving wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend gained flight with her wings on August 22, 2021. She was born on January 20, 1979, in Malaeloa, American Samoa to Lemina Lagisa and the Late Louis Schwenke.
From the beginning, Ina was an incredibly generous and loving soul. Her selflessness continued into adulthood. She was giving of her time and energy. Words cannot capture the experience of being around Ina. She was an attentive and detailed listener. She would hold your gaze, and you felt completely seen and heard in her presence. Her desire to serve and assist those she loved was bottomless. The immensity of Ina’s love for her family and friends is palpable.
She married her soulmate and love of her life Reginald “Reggie” Tauiliili on April 20, 2002. She loved and honored her husband with all of her being, Reggie loved her till her last breath. Her mom was her best friend, confidant and Wendover Road trip partner. As mentioned, Ina’s loving husband and mother were constant and she found solace and peace in them.
She was quick witted at the mouth and in her actions of true love, compassion, insightfulness, life lessons, never afraid to set you in your place with her verbal slipper, she would give her last, she would go without to ensure that you were good, she would lift burdens from you and place them on her shoulders with no complaints, but she was the life of the party and if there was laughter, definitely Ina was the center of it all. Her laugh was contagious, loud and unapologetic. She knew how to live. She completely gave herself to each moment and experience. She was always the first to show up for her nieces and nephews that viewed her as a second mother. You were instantly entertained by her presence and grace.
Ina’s presence and smile is sorely missed by those who loved and adored her. She is remembered by her husband Reggie, her mother Lemina (Late Louis Schwenke), her mother in laws Fetuao, Ake (Late Faioso Sumatala) her siblings, Ime (Baker), Nive (Late Tini), Sita (Noli), Lynne, Lui (Jessie), Laurence, Lisa (Mike), Leta, Mina, Patrick (Aiga), Pandora, Vise, Sana, Mo, Late Pule, Cici (Nua), Kika (Scotty), Kalei (Alaina), Johnny (Galisha) her nieces and nephews Tony, Hana, Vaianna (Curtis), Izaik, Noah, Alai, Nive Leka, AJ, Nika, Vinny, Kiikaboo, Kiora, Baby Lui, Maemae, Solo, Tristan, Moana, Lennox, Alex, Izaac, Isaiah, Rhema, Irie, Ireigha, Josiah, Niahmaea, Nivehannah, Marlina, Lizlee, Miskiki, her four-legged sons Silly Willy, Late Blade, and Blu.
A Short Poem written from the heart to Fifo. “ A New Beginning"
With the thunderstorm now past,
A young butterfly climbs her way to the top of a rock.
She draws encouragement from the August sun.
Looking around, she takes in the view of her grass filled flowery meadow.
She spreads her wings open to receive the warmth of God’s Grace.
She stands there in all her beauty, with all the hues of the rainbow.
Glittering in iridescent Blues, Yellows, Purples, Oranges and of course Samoan Reds.
She is Ready!
With a gentle flap of her wings -she lifts off.
Her emotions are saddened by sorrow, but also happy with love, for it is time to go on her new adventure.
She leaves her rock, her friends, her family, her home. The only true home she has ever known.
And as she begins to soar ever higher
She is guided by the rainbow left for her by the passing storm.
Joy begins to flood her heart.
For she knows she is in God’s Glory now.
Fly Little One Fly!
Climb high and touch your stars.
Fly Fifo Fly!
