Folaolela Tofa Tea's Obituary
Folaolela Tofa Tea also known as La or Afakasi departed her loving family on March 21, 2024 at the Intermountain Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Folaolela was born at the Moto’otua Hospital in Apia, Samoa on February 26, 1956 to her mother Luisa Nagaseu and her father Pili Tofa.
Folaolela met her lifelong partner Tonga Siaosi Tea in 1982. They were married in Honolulu, Hawaii on February 3, 1985. She was sealed in the Laie Temple on February 13, 1993.
Folaolela was a mother to Sulietilolohea Luisa Tea, Tonga Jr. Esau Tea, Justin Pili Tea, and Vineta Keisa Tea. She raised her children with love and devotion in Maui, Hawaii and Anchorage, Alaska with her husband Tonga Siaosi Tea.
As a convenient store manager, Folaolela was known for her honesty, dependability, and leadership. Her hobbies included playing volleyball, playing card games like hearts and solitaire. She also enjoyed spending time and being with family. She was most proud of being a grandma to her two grandchildren.
Folaolela is survived by her husband Tonga Siaosi Tea and children Sulietilolohea Luisa Tea, Tonga Jr. Esau Tea, Lisa Dent Tea (daughter in law), Justin Pili Tea, and Vineta Keisa Tea, and her grandchildren Taylor Keisa Tea and Teagan Atu Tea.
Aside from the children she doted on Folaolela is survived by her maternal siblings Ropeti Lega Frost, Mauga Lega Frost, Poufa Lega Frost, and Fonise Lega Frost and her paternal siblings Toe Poe, Viliamu Liufau Pili, Lusila Pili Sappa, Eteuati Pili, Elikisone Pili, Iulai Pili, Fa’afiuloto Pili Aukusitino, Ana Pili Manu, and Billy Pili.
Services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Chapel located at 1621 S 1100 E Salt Lake City, UT 84105 on March 27th 2024 at 10am. The burial will take place at Elysian Burial Gardens 1075 E 4580 S Salt Lake City, UT 84117.
