Frances Fern Williams Andrews' Obituary
Frances Fern (Williams) Andrews of Lehi, Utah went to be with her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, on March 21, 2015. Fern was born on November 15, 1932, one of two children to Walter (Phil) and Ida (Lois) Williams, and raised in Aledo, Illinois where she graduated high school. She married John Andrews her beloved husband of 62 years who preceded her in death last year. She is survived by one brother Philip Williams and four children, John, married to Becky, Debra married to David Lang, Marilyn married to Charles Aiken, and Curtis, 16 grandchildren, and 32 great-grandchildren.
Fern and John raised their children in Iowa and then moved to Utah where she continued to make a home for her family. She endured multiple sclerosis for over fifty years which left her disabled and blind.
She enjoyed cooking, butchering wild game, canning, knitting, crocheting, quilting, sewing clothing, playing games with her family and friends, vacationing with her husband and family, and listening to her favorite game shows and books.
Fern was a deeply spiritual woman who had opened her heart to Jesus at a young age. She attended church her entire life, sang in choir and small groups, and entertained many people and ministers in her home for meals and fellowship. She was a great listener and often her gentle counsel was sought by those who knew her.
A Memorial service will be conducted by Rev. Jonathan Lang, Fern’s grandson, at Mountain View Christian Assembly in Sandy on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 11 AM.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations, designated by note or in the memo for a special missions memorial in Fern’s name, be sent to:
